Seamus Anthony is as comfortable banging out covers as he is doing originals. At covers gigs he plays classic FM radio tunes – but in his own unique style (think Nick Cave singing Jack Johnson or Bowie singing Cold Chisel).

Seamus’ laid-back stage presence will casually charm your punters. Fans of timeless rock & pop from the 70s, 80s and 90s will order another round and hang about, humming along to “songs they know – reinvented”.

He doesn’t force it – no squawking off-key like a drunken duck – he just lets the years he’s spent honing his chops in bars shine through his deep “whisky n’ cigarettes” voice.

Testimonials

“As with his regular appearances at our Songwriters in the Round shows in Fitzroy, Seamus wowed the Northcote Social Club crowd the other night with his poignant lyrics, storytelling and wit.”
Liam Dixon, The Melting Pot (live music promoters) www.themeltingpotonline.com

“Seamus has played a number of gigs at Ruby’s Lounge, Belgrave (VIC) where I work as a band booker and sound engineer. His voice has an amazing edge to it and whether he’s playing a cover song or one of his powerful originals, he really draws them in. You can tell by his black humour in-between songs that he’s seen some action so people tend to stick around to have another bevvie and catch his laid-back, authentic vibe.”
Jeff Springfield, Ruby’s Lounge, Belgrave (VIC)

“Back when I managed the hotel, Seamus was a favourite of the regulars at the Crown n Anchor Hotel, one of Adelaide’s top music venues. His heartfelt music and friendly banter kept the punters happy to stick around and drink for longer.”
Samara Del Rosa, Crown n’ Anchor, Adelaide (SA)

“Seamus had me in tears … he’s a smart young man that sings like a dirty old bastard”
Emma Johnson, The Hills Hoist, 3MDR community radio
